Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist case management personnel logistically through the processing and drafting of necessary information; process, maintain, and update records of supportive services and notices of action for client. Successful candidate must have knowledge of terminology, practices and procedures of assigned office; modern office practices, procedures and equipment; applicable laws, codes, regulations policies and procedures; record-keeping techniques; telephone techniques and etiquette; cultural sensitivity; native American culture; oral and written communication skills; correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary; interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy; operation of a computer and assigned software. Must have the ability to assure smooth and efficient office operations; determine appropriate action within clearly defined guidelines; maintain records; plan and organize work; compile and verify data and prepare reports; operate a variety of office equipment including a computer and assigned software; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others; work with people from diverse cultures, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds and must always maintain cultural sensitivity.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years of increasingly responsible social work experience.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- This position has duties and responsibilities that require regular contact with or control over Indian children and is therefore subject to the background investigative process to comply with PL 101-630.
